Ingredients

2 cups fresh orange juice (approximately 4-5 medium oranges)

1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust according to your taste preference)

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1 cup Greek yogurt or coconut cream (use coconut cream for a dairy-free alternative)

1 tablespoon freshly grated orange zest (optional, for enhanced flavor)

A pinch of salt

Orange slices or additional zest for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Juice the Oranges: Start by thoroughly washing the oranges. Cut them in half and juice them until you have 2 cups of fresh orange juice. If you prefer a smoother texture, strain the juice to remove any remaining pulp.

Combine Ingredients: In a medium mixing bowl, add the freshly squeezed orange juice, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, Greek yogurt (or coconut cream), and a pinch of salt. Whisk everything together until the mixture is smooth and well combined. For an extra burst of citrus flavor, stir in the orange zest at this stage.

Taste and Adjust: Take a moment to taste your mixture. Depending on the sweetness of your oranges and your personal preference, you may wish to add more sugar to achieve the desired sweetness.

Fill the Cups: Carefully pour the creamy orange mixture into small cups or silicone molds, filling them about three-quarters full to allow for expansion during freezing.

Add Sticks (optional): If you're using silicone molds, insert wooden sticks vertically into the center of each cup. If you're using disposable cups or traditional molds that don’t accommodate sticks, feel free to skip this step.

Freeze: Place the filled cups or molds in the freezer. Allow them to freeze for a minimum of 4-6 hours, or until they are completely solid.

Serve: After freezing, take the cups out of the freezer and let them sit at room temperature for a few minutes. This will help soften the sides slightly, making it easier to remove them from their molds or cups.

Garnish and Enjoy: For a decorative touch, garnish each cup with a slice of orange or a sprinkle of fresh orange zest. Serve immediately and indulge in the creamy, refreshing goodness of your Frozen Orange Creamsicle Cups!
