Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup cooked chicken, shredded or diced

1 cup marinara sauce

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). To make cleanup easier, line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Chicken Mixture: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the shredded or diced cooked chicken with the marinara sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir well until the chicken is evenly coated with the sauce and the ingredients are fully combined.

Roll Out the Crescent Dough: On a clean surface, carefully unroll the crescent roll dough. Separate the dough into individual pre-scored triangles.

Fill the Dough: Take a generous tablespoon of the chicken mixture and place it at the wide end of each crescent triangle. Be cautious not to overfill, as this will make sealing difficult.

Roll Up the Bites: Starting at the wide end, gently roll each triangle towards the pointed end, tucking in the sides as you roll to ensure the filling stays inside.

Arrange on Baking Sheet: Position the rolled crescent bites on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring the pointed side is facing down to prevent them from unrolling during baking.

Bake the Bites: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for approximately 12-15 minutes, or until the bites are golden brown and have puffed up nicely.

Serve: After baking, allow the bites to cool for a few minutes before transferring them to a serving platter. If desired, garnish with fresh basil leaves. For an extra touch, serve with additional marinara sauce on the side for dipping.

Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 35 minutes | Servings: 8 (approximately 16 bites)

Enjoy these delightful bites, perfect for a snack or party appetizer!
