Ingredients

1 lb ground turkey

2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped

1 tbsp fresh basil, finely chopped

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

½ tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

8 slider buns

4 slices of cheese (Swiss, cheddar, or your choice)

Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, or avocado

Instructions

Prepare the Herb Butter: In a small mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, finely chopped parsley, finely chopped basil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir the mixture with a fork until all ingredients are evenly blended. Set the herb butter aside to allow the flavors to meld.

Form the Turkey Patties: In a large mixing bowl, add the ground turkey. Gently incorporate half of the prepared herb butter into the turkey using your hands, ensuring it is mixed evenly throughout. Divide the seasoned turkey mixture into eight equal portions and shape them into small, round patties, pressing them gently to form even thickness.

Cook the Sliders: Preheat a non-stick skillet or grill over medium heat. Place the turkey patties in the skillet and cook for approximately 4-5 minutes on each side. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness, ensuring they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). If using cheese, lay a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to let it melt beautifully.

Toast the Buns: While the turkey patties are cooking, take the slider buns and slice them in half. In a separate skillet, toast the cut sides of the buns over medium heat until they turn golden brown and crispy, enhancing their texture and flavor.

Assemble the Sliders: Once the buns are toasted, spread the remaining herb butter generously on the inside of each bun. Place a warm, cooked turkey patty on the bottom half of each bun. Add your choice of optional toppings such as lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, or creamy avocado. Crown each slider with the top half of the bun.

Serve and Enjoy: Serve these delightful sliders warm, accompanied by your favorite dipping sauce or enjoy them plain for a fresh, satisfying treat!
